I was expecting flimsy but its pretty sturdy paper. I'm happy with it.
Its fun scratching off the foil stuff. Kinda reminds me of those lotto tickets. I scratched off volcano one in Hawai even though I haven't been there. I wanted to see what was under it. Then I scratched off the ones I've been to. Only a half dozen or so in the US, mostly when I was a kid with my family. Now if I want to keep the visits and the scratch offs right, I guess I'll have to go to Hawai. HAHA
We're retired and our goal is to get in our camper and visit all the national parks that we can drive to. I just got the lifetime senior pass. Now its time to put it to use. We can't wait to see as many as we can and this map makes it like a diary that we can keep along with our scrapbook and thousands of photos.
Love it. My son is studying the National Parks in school. He took it to school and the teacher is going to get one for the class and use it as a reward system somehow. Winner gets to scratch off the park. Recommend it.
Its very pretty. Its going to take a long time for us to visit them all and we don't want to scratch them off until we go. That said, it has to last a long time so I guess we'll have to get it mounted on a photo board and frame it or something. I can't keep rolling it up all the time. Its too pretty to keep put away.
My husband and I have visited most of the National parks in the Southwest. After scratching them off the map, it makes us want to visit more. Maybe even all of them. It's a fun way of keeping track of where we've been and where were going.
